Since 2016, we have worked toward making the world a better place for neonatal and underaged kittens. We have made it our mission to stop the needless euthanasia of our kittens in the shelter system.

Our Mission

A popular belief about our shelter system is that those adorable, tiny kittens will be safe, taken care of and adopted out if taken to an animal shelter.. and unfortunately, that is not the case. In fact, most kittens under 8 weeks of age are euthanized upon intake or on the same day. The Little Lion Foundation is the very first rescue in Long Beach, California to point our main focus on these innocent, fragile beings.

who we are

Founded in 2016, The Little Lion Foundation is an all volunteer based team dedicated to saving the lives of orphaned kittens in need and finding each and every one the home they deserve. We specialize in neonatal, orphaned, and special needs kittens as well as trauma cases. We pride ourselves in saving the ones left discarded...from blind to physical disabilities and deformities, we believe every kitty is worth fighting for and every cat deserves to roar.

We provide each kitten with vaccinations, spay/neuter surgery, microchip, FIV/FELV test, deworming, regular flea medication and any other medical needs our Little Lions may require. We will stop at nothing to save these precious souls.

We are based in Long Beach, California and currently inhabit two adoption centers through PetSmart in Cerritos and Garden Grove. We hold weekly adoption events at either PetSmart location or at Pet Food Express in Long Beach.

We are a 501(c)3 non profit organization and 100% of donations received go directly toward the care of our kitties. We rely solely on the generosity of our supporters to keep our mission going.
